It's Go Time
Marguerite put all the ingredients we needed on the counter top. As we waited for the butter to get to room temperature we ate lunch and told jokes about our dad taking so long at the grocery store (we sent him for the Chocolate Stars and other numerous goodies). We also finalized the 12 cookies we are going to make (see below what's to come). As we began mixing the ingredients we noticed that one of the two sticks of butter was missing from the counter top. It was gone. Literally. We all saw it and suddenly it disappeared. Turns out that Tillie's tummy (the Great Dane) is making Grandma Simonson's cookies too. Marguerite even checked her purse for the butter! Oh Dog. The cookies turned out great. They are nice and chewy yet light, the chocolate star is gooey when you experience them warm. I ate a dozen on my own today (please don't judge me, I'm nursing my sweet baby girl). We froze about 5 dozen - will they last?
I love this!!! Both of your daughters look cute :)
